How does class placement work at BAMS?
BAMS sets the standard for class placement practices. Every students at BAMS is individually placed as teachers, counselors, and administrators examine a student’s academic records and make recommendations for what classes will be the best fit for a student, both academically and behaviorally.

I feel like my child needs a schedule change. How do I do that?
If you feel as though your child’s schedule may need a change, please contact Mrs. Bobrow. She will request teacher feedback and you, Mrs. Bobrow, and your student’s team of teachers will work together to find the right solution for your child’s needs.

My child is sick. How do I get his/her makeup work?
All work requests must be submitted by 8:30am to be eligible to be picked up that day. All work will be ready for pickup after 2:30pm, but please keep in mind that our office closes at 3:30pm Monday-Friday. Work requested after 8:30am will be ready for pickup the following day. Please note that work requests are only submitted if a student has been absent two or more days. If a student misses only one day, he or she will pick up makeup work upon return to school. To request work for your student, please contact Mrs. Russo,  our School Counseling Administrator.

Does BAMS offer any extra tutoring help for students?
BAMS is proud to partner with Bel Air High School’s National Honor Society to offer after-school tutoring services. Tutoring occurs on Monday afternoons from 3-4pm. A permission slip is required for a student to attend tutoring, and those can be picked up in the School Counseling Office. Because the program runs from September-May, a new permission slip must be filled out each month for a student to remain enrolled in the tutoring program. Please note that a parent/guardian is responsible for transporting a student home from tutoring at 4pm (no school transportation provided). For more information, please contact Mrs. Bobrow

My child’s doctor is requesting his/her teachers to complete checklists. How do I get those out to the teachers?
If your child’s doctor is requesting checklists to be completed for your child, please submit them to Mrs. Bobrow. You can leave them in her mailbox in the main office or bring them to the School Counseling office. Mrs. Bobrow will then distribute the checklists to the teachers, collect them, and mail them to the requesting physician. Please note that it is the policy of BAMS to allow teachers one full week to complete a checklist.
